Bollywood star Rani Mukerji is gearing up to reprise her role as the daring cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in the eagerly anticipated Mardaani 3.
This third installment will see Rani donning the uniform again to tackle a “brutal case.” As she prepares for her cinematic return, Rani paid a heartfelt tribute to the Indian Police Force on Police Commemoration Day 2025.
Expressing deep gratitude, Rani remarked, “I am honored to salute the Indian Police Force through my film franchise Mardaani, and I eagerly embrace every chance to acknowledge the tireless efforts of police nationwide. Across the country, officers risk their lives and sacrifice personal time for our safety. Words fall short in capturing the immense service the police provide, prioritizing the nation and its people.”
She honored the “unwavering courage, relentless dedication, and selfless service of the Indian Police Force” in their mission to protect and uphold justice for every Indian citizen, stressing the importance of recognizing their contributions.
“We must remember that behind the badge is a person committed to doing good, choosing a path of selfless service, and prioritizing the nation. They are also sons, daughters, spouses, and parents. I hold deep respect for the force and will ensure every Indian hears this,” Rani stated.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, YRF’s Mardaani 3 will hit theaters on February 27, 2026.
