Bollywood star Rani Mukerji is gearing up to return in her bold and daring role for the highly anticipated Mardaani 3.
On September 22, Yash Raj Films unveiled a poster for the third installment of Mukerji’s acclaimed cop series.
The filmmakers confirmed that Mukerji will reprise her iconic role as police officer Shivani Shivaji Roy.
They also released the first poster of Mardaani 3, hinting that the fearless cop will risk her life to crack a “brutal case”.
The poster features a close-up of Rani’s hand gripping a revolver as she stands firm against the Delhi Police barricade.
The ‘Mardaani’ films, a female-cop-centric series in Indian cinema, have offered powerful stories. The first movie debuted in 2014, followed by the second in 2019. “This third chapter promises to be even darker and more intense, offering a thrilling cinematic experience,” the creators stated.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra, Mardaani 3 is set to release in theaters on February 27, 2026.
Previously, Mukerji hinted that Mardaani 3 will be an “edge-of-the-seat thriller” described as “dark, deadly, and brutal”.
The film will depict a violent clash between Shivani’s righteousness and menacing evil forces.
