Have you come across cracked road surfaces, faded pedestrian crossings, malfunctioning signals or traffic lights, or damaged bus shelters? You can now report these issues directly to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) using WhatsApp.
The RTA’s designated WhatsApp number is +971 58 800 9090. Save this number to connect with RTA’s Mahboub chatbot, allowing you to easily report any infrastructure or public transport facility damage across the emirate, including pavements, bus shelters, traffic signals, signs, and more.
Mahboub lets users take a photo and send it via WhatsApp, “making the reporting process smoother and encouraging residents and visitors to play a proactive role in identifying damages,” according to the RTA’s statement on Thursday.

The public can contribute to maintaining Dubai’s cleanliness and aesthetic by sending photos of damaged infrastructure to be addressed by the relevant RTA departments.
Meera Al Shaikh, director of Customer Happiness at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, highlighted: “Using WhatsApp emphasizes RTA’s dedication to enhancing community involvement in reporting damages, while also elevating RTA’s corporate image. It further enhances public engagement by ensuring rapid responses to reports and feedback swiftly.”
In addition, Mahboub can be used to pay for parking in Dubai, check updates, and receive customer support.
