Vienna – Sputnik. Oulianov wrote on his “X” platform page last Sunday that “some Western media claim that the Alaska summit broke Russia’s international isolation. This is nonsense. Russia was never isolated.” He emphasized that Russia “has been maintaining close relations with the entire world except the European Union.” He noted that all these mentioned countries constitute the global minority, about 12% of the world’s population, “and they could not isolate Russia.” He added that “the new American administration showed political wisdom and resumed dialogue with Russia at the highest levels.” He questioned: “When will others try to follow this approach?”

This follows the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American President Donald Trump in the state of Alaska on August 15, during which they discussed settling the conflict in Ukraine.
