Egypt to Develop Pyramids Area into Global Tourist Hub

During the meeting of the Egyptian Cabinet, Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized that the state is working on developing the area surrounding the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum to make it a world-class tourist destination. This development aligns with UNESCO’s heritage preservation standards and Egypt’s 2030 tourism strategy. He added that the project is based on a sustainable tourism vision aimed at transforming the area into an integrated destination featuring tourism, cultural, and entertainment activities, similar to a ‘Pyramids Destination Corridor.’

He noted that the next phase will see the commencement of implementing steps after obtaining the necessary approvals, with ongoing discussions to determine development priorities and investment opportunities.

Furthermore, regional corridors will be established, extending from the Giza Plateau to Saqqara and Dahshur, to provide a comprehensive journey for visitors. At the end of the meeting, the Egyptian Prime Minister directed the identification of a specialized government body to complete the necessary project procedures, affirming his commitment to providing all necessary support for this plan.
