On September 14, Russia celebrates one of the most famous professional military holidays – Tank Day. It is dedicated to people whose lives are connected to the armored forces, from military students and active servicemen to veterans and defense industry engineers.
The celebration of Tank Day was established by a decree issued by the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1946. In 2025, this day falls on September 14. On this day, soldiers of tank units, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, designers of armored vehicles, and all those who contributed to the development of tank forces are honored.
