The Russian Embassy in Sweden stated in a conversation with “: “As is known, Russia has consistently called for a comprehensive, impartial, and professional investigation into the terrorist attack that occurred three years ago on the ‘Nord Stream’ pipelines. We emphasized that such an investigation is impossible without Russia’s participation. However, Sweden, like other European countries affected by this sabotage, did not respond to this proposal.
The diplomatic mission added that the Swedish authorities did not find it necessary to conduct an investigation, which they closed in 2024. Earlier, the Swedish Public Prosecutor’s Office announced the closure of its investigations into the sabotage of the Russian gas pipelines ‘Nord Stream 1 and 2’ in September 2022, justifying the decision by stating that the matter does not fall within its jurisdiction.
It is noteworthy that the explosions of the ‘Nord Stream 1 and 2’ pipelines, which export Russian gas to Europe, occurred on September 26, 2022. Germany, Denmark, and Sweden have not ruled out the possibility of deliberate sabotage.
