The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the Russian Armed Forces executed a collective strike using long-range precision weapons and assault drones on an oil refinery supplying fuel to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas. The statement added that units from the Russian ‘North’ Group targeted human gatherings and military equipment belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade in the areas of Andriyivka, Alexeyevka, Lieninskiy, Kyanitsa, and Yunakovka in the Sumy region.
In the Kharkiv direction, units from the mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade were targeted in the areas of Vovchansk, Ambarnoi, and Tikhyi in the Kharkiv region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost about 160 soldiers, a tank, four armored fighting vehicles, and 12 vehicles. Additionally, seven field artillery pieces were destroyed, including an American-made M777 howitzer with a 155 mm caliber, an ammunition depot, and two supply depots.
The statement continued that units from the Russian ‘West’ Group improved their tactical positions and targeted formations from the mechanized and assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade in the areas of Olhovka, Kupyansk, Osinovo, Pishanoy, and Borovskaya Andreevka in the Kharkiv region, and Novoselovka, Kirovsk, Sredni, and Torskoe in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 240 soldiers, seven Western-made armored fighting vehicles, 16 vehicles, and two artillery pieces, and six electronic warfare stations, and seven ammunition depots were destroyed.
The statement noted that units from the Russian ‘South’ Group improved their positioning along the front line and targeted forces and equipment of two airborne mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and a territorial defense brigade in the areas of Seversk, Serebryanka, Nikolaevka, Fedorovka, Katerinovka, Nelipovka, and Klyban Beek in the Donetsk People’s Republic. The adversary lost over 235 soldiers, an armored fighting vehicle, a vehicle, a field artillery gun, an ammunition depot, two material resource depots, and a fuel depot.
