Moscow – Sputnik. The envoy added that, despite “conclusions being reached” indicating that Russia “wants to destabilize the situation in Poland,” Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk claimed last Wednesday that “dangerous” drones were shot down over Poland, describing them as “Russian,” though he did not provide any evidence.

Later, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that more than ten drones were involved in the incident. Russian chargé d’affaires in Poland, Andrey Urdaš, told Sputnik that Warsaw had not provided any evidence of the alleged Russian origin of the drones shot down over the country’s territory.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he was unaware of any requests from Polish authorities to contact the Kremlin. He also noted that EU and NATO leaders consistently accuse Russia of provocations daily without attempting to provide any evidence.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that there were no plans to destroy any targets on Polish territory during the comprehensive strike by the Russian Armed Forces on Ukrainian defense industry facilities on the night of September 10. The ministry is ready to hold consultations with its Polish counterparts regarding the drones allegedly crossing the border.

On September 10, Belarus’s First Deputy Minister of Defense, Pavel Moravyko, stated that Belarus notified Poland and Lithuania at night about drones approaching their borders and that Warsaw informed Minsk about drones coming from Ukrainian territory.
