Petrenko confirmed to Sputnik agency that a criminal case has been opened on charges of committing a terrorist act and assaulting nuclear facilities, in the wake of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempting to attack the Smolensk nuclear power plant.
The Russian Federal Security Service reported that Russian electronic warfare systems thwarted a terrorist attack launched by a Ukrainian drone of the “Space” model on the Smolensk nuclear power plant on Sunday.
It added that the investigation is ongoing to identify the Ukrainian military personnel involved in the attack.
