In a statement to ‘Sputnik’ agency, he said: ‘The response of the Russian intelligence to these plans will not only allow us to anticipate this provocative threat, but more importantly, draw the attention of the international community to the ‘terrorist maneuvers’ carried out by Kyiv against its own people.’ He explained that this concerns Kyiv, which he described as an enemy of peace in the region, accusing Ukraine of gathering information and arguments to ‘boycott and delay the peace process.’
The Russian Defense statement added: ‘The Ukrainian armed forces planned to launch a provocative attack using drones and missiles on a densely populated residential area or a hospital that has witnessed a large number of civilian casualties, which will be ‘immediately recorded’ by the Western journalists they brought.’
