Lebedev told Sputnik that the strikes targeted the infrastructure of an airbase belonging to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Poltava region of Ukraine, followed by a massive explosion. He added that the strikes hit the infrastructure near the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ airbase located in the Myrhorod area. He noted that the strike also hit the former headquarters of the 831st Tactical Aviation Brigade. According to his preliminary information, the site housed a training center with barracks for training aircraft pilots and drone operators.

Lebedev mentioned that Russian forces attacked factories in Konotop, Sumy region, which are used by the Ukrainian military. Among other targets were a mechanical plant, a facility for repairing diesel trains, drone production facilities, armored vehicle repair workshops in the Sumy region, warehouses near Dobropillia, and communication infrastructure on the outskirts of Sloviansk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

According to Lebedev, German-speaking soldiers were responsible for communications, and a vehicle repair workshop, warehouses for missiles and multiple rocket launcher systems, and a dormitory housing mercenaries from Central America in the Kharkiv region were targeted. In the same area, there were also Ukrainian military sites preparing to advance towards Vovchansk, and infrastructure for an airbase in the Poltava region, which likely housed a training center with barracks for pilots and drone operators.

In response to Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks on civilian targets, Russian forces regularly conduct raids on sites housing personnel, equipment, and foreign mercenaries, including energy facilities, defense industry facilities, military command and control centers, and communications.

Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has repeatedly confirmed that the Russian military does not target residential buildings or social institutions.
