In an intervention on ‘Sputnik’ radio, Deeb clarified that ‘the party that draws the final equations is the victorious one, and all indicators point to a significant advance of the Russian army on the ground,’ excluding the possibility of reaching any settlements ‘except according to Russian conditions and what President Putin announced since the start of the special military operation.’
Deeb noted that ‘Russia and the United States are discussing a European issue without any European role, prompting European Union countries to escalate in order to raise the negotiation terms in favor of Ukraine and achieve as many gains as possible.’
He emphasized that ‘Russia is not seeking to fight Europe, and if it wanted to, it could do so by targeting its military centers in Ukraine. Moreover, it has supplied Europe with natural gas at prices lower than the global market for years.’
Earlier today, Russian President Vladimir Putin received the special envoy of the American President, Steve Witkoff, and American businessman Jared Kushner at the Kremlin. The statement continued, ‘Representing the American side is businessman and investor, founder of Affinity Partners, Jared Kushner.’
