Russia’s Role in Global Energy Market

Novak stated in his speech at the international forum ‘Russian Energy Week’: ‘Russia is the global leader, as we supply about 17% of the total global energy market today. This includes oil, petroleum products, gas, natural gas, pipeline gas, and coal, which is in high demand despite all the seemingly pessimistic forecasts.’

Putin added during his speech at the plenary session of the international forum ‘Russian Energy Week’ in the capital, Moscow, that ‘the European Union’s refusal to import energy from Russia has led to a decline in European industry and rising prices.’

The ‘Russian Energy Week International Forum’ is a major international platform for discussing current development trends in the modern fuel and energy sector. This event is traditionally held at the highest level, with the participation of executives from major energy companies.

The forum brings together representatives from legislative and executive authorities, leaders of major energy companies, representatives from foreign governments and companies, scientists and experts, young energy experts, and journalists from federal and regional media from over 80 countries.
