After over 15 years in the spotlight, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is transitioning into a new career phase, where she no longer juggles five films simultaneously. The celebrated South Indian actress recently discussed her evolving professional and personal priorities in an interview with Grazia India.
Samantha shared that she’s intentionally reducing her workload, focusing on projects that truly resonate with her and prioritizing her well-being.
“I’ve reached a stage where I pursue things I’m deeply passionate about, including both fitness and films,” she mentioned. “I’ve participated in many films and series, but not all were passion-driven. Now, every project, business venture, and film production truly matters to me.”
She also noted that she no longer manages multiple projects at once, a common aspect of her previous career.
“I don’t shoot five films at once anymore. I’ve learned to listen to my body, so I’ve decreased my workload. Now, everything I do holds more significance. It’s not just for the sake of it. While the quantity has decreased, the quality of my projects has improved.”
Despite this mindful shift, Samantha’s creative endeavors remain dynamic. She recently appeared in a cameo in Subham, a Telugu film she produced under her label, Tralala Moving Pictures. Last year, she starred alongside Varun Dhawan in Amazon Prime Video’s Citadel: Honey Bunny, a Raj and DK spy thriller marking her return to action-packed narratives.
Looking forward, Samantha will headline Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom, an ambitious Raj and DK series currently in production. The ensemble cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jaideep Ahlawat. This high-energy drama is set to premiere in 2026.
