A recent leak indicates that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will once again feature a 200MP main camera, but with a significant enhancement that could greatly improve photo quality. The well-known tipster Universelce has corroborated this rumor and provided an additional detail.

As reported by gsmarena, the phone is expected to retain the Isocell HP2 200MP sensor used in the Galaxy S25 Ultra. However, the S26 Ultra is rumored to include a larger f/1.4 aperture, compared to the f/1.7 aperture on the S25 Ultra.

The HP2 sensor supports pixel-binning, a feature that combines pixels to enhance image quality. Depending on the shooting mode, it can produce photos at 12.5MP, 50MP, and 200MP resolutions.

Previous leaks also suggest that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s 200MP main camera will be accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide lens (Samsung JN3), a 50MP periscope telephoto camera (IMX854), and a 12MP telephoto camera (Samsung S5K3LD).

For selfies and video calls, Samsung is expected to use a 12MP Sony IMX874 on the front.

Galaxy Z TriFold

On December 2, Samsung Electronics unveiled its first multi-folding smartphone, aiming to bolster its position in a competitive market segment.

The launch of the Galaxy Z TriFold represents Samsung’s effort to strengthen its presence where Chinese competitors have been advancing, though analysts note that the high price and production challenges mean foldable devices may remain a niche market for now.

The Galaxy Z TriFold is priced at approximately 3.59 million won ($2,440.17) and expands into a 253.1 millimeter (10-inch) display with three panels. It is nearly 25% larger than Samsung’s latest foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 model.

The new model, manufactured in South Korea, will be available domestically on December 12 and will be launched in China, Singapore, Taiwan, and the UAE later this year. The US release is anticipated in the first quarter of next year.
