The council, in its weekly meeting, praised the international consensus supporting the implementation process of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Saudi Council of Ministers strongly condemned the decision of the Israeli occupation authorities to occupy the Gaza Strip, denouncing their persistence in committing crimes of starvation and brutal practices, including ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. The statement emphasized that the ongoing inability of the international community and the Security Council to stop these attacks and violations undermines the foundations of the international system and international legitimacy, threatens regional and global peace and security, and warns of serious consequences that encourage practices of genocide and forced displacement.

Saudi company Bahri commented on reports alleging that it was transporting maritime shipments to Israel, reaffirming its commitment to Saudi Arabia’s stance on the Palestinian issue. In an official statement, the company highlighted its adherence to local and international laws and regulations governing maritime transport operations. The company stated that it has never transported any goods or shipments to Israel in any form. It categorically denied the accuracy of the reports on this matter, asserting that these allegations are entirely unfounded. The company declared its right to respond and take necessary legal actions against what it described as ‘malicious claims that harm the company’s reputation or seek to damage its policies and approach,’ urging media outlets to ‘ensure accuracy and obtain information from official sources.’

According to Saudi media, Bahri was formerly known as the National Shipping Company, with the Saudi Public Investment Fund owning 22% of its shares. A few days ago, the Saudi Council of Ministers reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to continuing support, especially in the Gaza Strip, through air and sea bridges, while continuing to provide relief and medical aid.
