The Saudi company “Al Raya Security Systems” has signed an agreement with the German company “Avelos” to establish the first air ambulance factory in Saudi Arabia. The initial investment is 50 million riyals, which will increase to one billion riyals once the production lines are completed, as stated by the CEO of “Al Raya,” Firas Fawaz Al-Hadrawi.
Al-Hadrawi, in televised statements, expected that the production of the first locally-made air ambulance will begin in mid-2027. He explained that the project will provide 150 jobs for Saudi youth in its initial phase, with the number rising to 600 jobs by mid-year.
He further clarified that the air ambulance is not limited to transporting medical tools; it can also transport an injured person weighing up to 170 kilograms. It features artificial intelligence that connects the injured person to the treatment center immediately, monitors their vital functions, and provides immediate support, such as nutrient solutions.
