Saudi Cabinet Condemns Israeli Actions and Reaffirms Support for Palestine

In its weekly meeting, the council praised the international consensus supporting the execution of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. The Saudi Cabinet strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to occupy the Gaza Strip, denouncing their persistent crimes of starvation, brutal practices, and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people. The statement emphasized that the ongoing inability of the international community and the Security Council to halt these aggressions and violations undermines the foundations of the international system and international legitimacy, threatens regional and global security and peace, and warns of severe consequences that encourage genocide and forced displacement practices.

Saudi company “Bahri” responded to reports alleging that it was transporting maritime shipments to Israel, reaffirming Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the Palestinian cause. In an official statement, the company highlighted its adherence to local and international laws and regulations governing maritime transportation operations. The company stated that it has never transported, nor does it transport, any goods or shipments to Israel in any form. The company categorically denied the validity of the reports, asserting that such claims are completely unfounded and baseless. The company maintained its right to respond and take necessary legal actions against what it described as “malicious allegations that harm the company’s reputation or attempt to undermine its policies and approach,” urging media outlets to “ensure accuracy and obtain information from official sources.”

According to Saudi media, “Bahri” was formerly known as the “National Shipping Company,” with the Saudi Public Investment Fund owning 22 percent of its shares. A few days ago, the Saudi Cabinet confirmed the Kingdom’s ongoing commitment, especially in the Gaza Strip, through the air and maritime bridges, continuing to provide relief and medical aid.
