The delegation that arrived in Riyadh today, Monday, as reported by the Saudi newspaper “Asharq Al-Awsat,” is conducting discussions with the Saudi side in the presence of representatives from the private sector of both parties. This visit follows the outcomes of the “Saudi-Syrian Forum,” which took place last month, with the participation of more than 100 Saudi companies and 20 government entities.
The forum resulted in the signing of 47 investment projects with a total exceeding 24 billion riyals, covering sectors such as real estate and infrastructure, communications and information technology, energy, industry, tourism, health, and trade.
According to the newspaper, this step reaffirms the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its economic partnerships with Arab countries, contributing to sustainable development and strengthening its global investment role.
In June, Saudi Arabia and Qatar announced a joint financial support for public sector workers in Syria for three months, continuing the efforts of both countries to support and accelerate the recovery of the Syrian economy.
In July, the Saudi Ministry of Investment announced that the investments would cover vital and strategic sectors in Syria.
