Over the next two days, parts of the UAE will face thunderstorms and rain, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) on Tuesday.

This weather is attributed to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) extending and moving northward toward the UAE, combined with low-pressure systems advancing from the south.

The NCM reports that moist air masses are moving from the Arabian Sea and Sea of Oman towards the UAE. Check out the map shared by the meteorological authority:

Daytime temperatures will increase, and due to the eastern mountains, convective clouds are likely to develop over various areas, the centre noted.

From Wednesday to Thursday, eastern and southern regions, extending to some internal areas, will be impacted. Convective clouds will likely bring varied-intensity rain, lightning, and thunder.

Winds will shift from south-easterly to north-easterly, moderate, and can become fresh to strong with convective clouds, causing dust, sand, and reduced visibility.

The Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman will experience slight to moderate sea conditions.
