Colonel Khaled Abbas TikTok, the Director of the Directorate, stated that “Security units executed a well-planned raid in the Jaba area, north of the Damascus countryside, following a meticulous investigation and monitoring process. This resulted in the seizure of the entire shipment and the arrest of four individuals involved, while a fifth person was neutralized in an armed clash with the patrols,” according to the Syrian Ministry of Interior on their Telegram account.
Colonel TikTok confirmed that the seized items were entirely confiscated, and the detainees were referred to the relevant authorities to complete the investigations and refer them to the judiciary for legal proceedings.
In a statement last September, it was announced that the internal security units in the Damascus countryside, in collaboration with the General Intelligence Service, successfully dismantled a “terrorist” cell affiliated with “Hezbollah” active in the towns of Sa’sa’ and Kanaker in the western Damascus countryside.
During the operation, the security units managed to confiscate rocket launch bases, 19 Grad rockets, in addition to anti-armor missiles, individual weapons, and large quantities of various ammunition. The statement noted that the file was referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the legal procedures, while security agencies continue investigating the detainees to uncover all connections and objectives related to the cell.
