This project seeks to honor Sheikh Rashid’s legacy of philanthropy by building model villages that provide essential housing, education, healthcare, and social services to empower families in need.

Model Villages
The initial phase of Rashid Villages will be in Kenya, covering 72 dunums (7.2 hectares) and adhering to sustainable design principles, such as renewable energy. It will include fully equipped homes, a mosque, and a hall for over 500 people for community functions.
The village will feature commercial outlets based on endowments to drive economic activity and provide residents with a sustainable income, with paved roads linking various facilities for ease of movement and community engagement.
To inspire youth, the project will incorporate a football field and a sports academy, offering young residents opportunities to nurture their talents and remain active. Modern infrastructure, including fire alarms and surveillance systems, alongside solar-powered lighting, will enhance security.
Designed to benefit about 1,700 individuals, the village aims to be a catalyst for transformative change, providing families with stability, opportunity, and hope. The initiative plans to expand annually, building a new model village each year to honor the humanitarian legacy of Sheikh Rashid and uphold the values he advocated.
Focus on Education, Economic Independence
Education is central to the initiative. In collaboration with the Digital School under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), the Rashid Education Project will offer digital learning and a modern school for over 320 students.
Families will gain from vocational training and micro-enterprise support, equipping them with skills and resources to start sustainable businesses, earn an income, and secure economic stability.
Healthcare at the Heart of Community
A health center in the village will provide medical services, preventive care, and health education, supported by efficient sanitation and water systems to ensure clean water access.
The initiative will partner with international humanitarian organizations to enhance healthcare services, particularly for children and families, addressing medical service gaps in developing regions.
Additionally, residents will receive first aid and preventive care training, building local capacity and fostering a safer, healthier, and sustainable community.
