Al-Shibani, during his meeting with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak in Damascus, said, “We welcome cooperation with Russia in the fields of reconstruction, energy, agriculture, and health on a fair and transparent basis.” Al-Shibani added that “the more stable Syria becomes, the more opportunities for cooperation open up for everyone, whereas instability increases the chances of chaos and terrorism. Explicit Russian support for Syria’s new path will be a step in favor of our country and the entire region.”
Today, Tuesday, a Russian official delegation headed by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak arrived. The Russian Deputy Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation were received at the Damascus Palace in the presence of several ministers and officials.
