The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained on its Telegram channel that “the delegation began its work with a constructive session with the Director of the General Directorate of Passports and Immigration, Police Major General Othman Mohammed Al-Hassan Dinkawi, in the presence of several senior officials,” according to the SANA agency. Earlier today, the technical delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs arrived in Sudan. The Syrian transitional government’s Foreign Minister, Asaad Al-Shaibani, stated last May that those currently present there are to be supported and safely evacuated. According to Syrian media, some unofficial statistics indicate the presence of approximately 30,000 Syrians in Sudan, most of whom are located in areas affected by the rapid support forces against army sites and facilities, especially power stations.
