The Tahbib Festival 2025 showcased the vibrant tapestry of language, creativity, and cultural exchange at India Club, Dubai, on November 29 and December 1. This two-day event gathered celebrated filmmakers, writers, scholars, psychologists, musicians, painters, and performers from South Asia and the Middle East.
The first day launched with diverse intellectual discussions, highlighted by the eagerly awaited panel on Evolving Audiences: Film and Cinema. Esteemed Bollywood director Kabir Khan offered insights into storytelling in a globalized world and the evolution of audience preferences. The agenda also featured sessions on Living Voices of Two Centuries, English literature, Arabic culture, and a psychology panel examining art’s reflection of the human psyche. The day gracefully transitioned from dialogue to performance with a solo theatre act and a musical session.
The second day started with the harmonious Tahbib voice session, followed by an awards ceremony recognizing significant contributions to literature, culture, and art. The evening unfolded into a captivating Mushaira, featuring esteemed poets enchanting the audience with their verses. Festivities continued with a lively performance by Audis Band, concluding with an emotionally resonant Qawwali Night. Throughout the festival, South Asian painters exhibited their artwork, enhancing the cultural ambiance.
