Washington – Sputnik. The newspaper added that the telecom giant, based in Baltimore and owning more than 40 channels affiliated with the “ABC” network, canceled the broadcast of Kirk’s memorial program on Friday evening to local “ABC” stations. The program was moved to YouTube minutes before the broadcast. The source reported that the media group’s management fears a repeat of the recent shooting incident at the “ABC” affiliate in Sacramento. Kirk, a supporter of U.S. President Donald Trump, was shot dead on September 10 during a mass rally at Utah Valley University, leaving behind a wife and two children. Kirk opposed aid to Ukraine, describing Volodymyr Zelensky as an obstacle to peace and “a puppet in the hands of the CIA.” He also asserted that Crimea has always been part of Russia.
