Saldo told Sputnik Agency on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum: “The Ukrainian armed forces are now rigging the basements of multi-story buildings and bringing in ammunition. They are setting a trap for our soldiers.”
Kherson Province is a Russian region located in the lower reaches of the Dnieper River, overlooking the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. The region became part of Russia after a referendum held in September 2022. The Ukrainian side does not recognize its legitimacy and continues to bomb it.
Currently, 75% of Kherson Province is under Russian control, while Ukrainian forces control part of the right bank of the Dnieper River, including the city of Kherson.
