The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported today, Friday, that Netanyahu stated this during a session of the mini-ministerial council, known as the ‘cabinet,’ announcing new procedures for the passage of humanitarian aid trucks coming from Jordan. Netanyahu commented on the incident by saying, ‘They did not prevent it,’ accusing the Jordanian authorities of responsibility for the incident that resulted in the death of two Israelis at the Allenby Crossing, on the Jordanian border with the West Bank, explaining that truck drivers will pass through certain technical devices.

In the same context, Israeli authorities closed the Karama border crossing with Jordan in both directions today, Friday, and are redirecting passenger buses. The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported today, Friday, citing the Palestinian General Authority of Crossings and Borders, that ‘the Israeli occupation closed the Karama Crossing (Allenby Crossing) and forced departing buses to return to the rest area in the city of Jericho,’ urging Palestinian citizens to postpone their travel until the situation becomes clearer.

The border crossing between the Palestinian West Bank and the Jordanian border was scheduled to operate today, Friday, until 12:30 PM. In the same vein, Israeli media announced yesterday, Thursday, that two people were involved in a shooting incident on the Allenby Bridge at the border with Jordan. Channel 13 stated that ‘a terrorist is suspected of arriving at the Allenby Crossing in a humanitarian aid truck to the Gaza Strip from Jordan and carried out the attack,’ adding that it is being investigated whether the attack was a shooting or stabbing.

Meanwhile, the newspaper ‘Israel Hayom’ reported that two Israelis were killed, after initially reporting one death and another critically or mortally wounded. The newspaper highlighted on its website that about a year ago, specifically in September 2024, a shooting occurred at a border crossing and the ‘terrorist,’ who arrived via Jordan in a truck and opened fire at the scene, was neutralized.

Israeli media had mentioned on the twelfth of this month the injury of two Israelis, with serious and moderate wounds, in a stabbing incident in a dining hall at a hotel in the ‘Tzova’ area near occupied Jerusalem. It was clarified that one man, aged 50, is in a critical condition after being injured in the upper body, while the second Israeli, aged 23, sustained moderate injuries and both were transferred to a hospital in Jerusalem for treatment.

The West Bank is experiencing a wave of tension and field confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli forces, accompanied by raids and arrests of Palestinians, coinciding with the war on the Gaza Strip.
