Yedioth Ahronoth reported that it learned from sources in the White House today, Thursday, that Trump may visit Israel next month if the circumstances allow. According to the newspaper, Trump’s visit to Israel would be linked to developments in the ceasefire talks in the Gaza Strip. The newspaper noted that an American official stated the visit is not confirmed yet.
Israel has been continuing its war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. Despite American and Arab efforts, no agreement for a ceasefire has been reached so far.
Although recent attempts to reach an agreement have failed, there are ongoing efforts to return to negotiations despite the government announcing its approval of a plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.
From October 7, 2023, until August 11 of the current year, the war on Gaza has resulted in the death of more than 61,000 Palestinians and approximately 154,000 injuries, according to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
