A source clarified, in a statement to an American media outlet, that the Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan will host his Egyptian counterpart, Badr Abdel Aty, to discuss the potential next stages of the ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States.

It is noteworthy that on October 9th, former US President Donald announced that Israel and Hamas had reached an agreement to implement the first phase of the peace plan, which aims to end the ongoing armed conflict in the Gaza Strip that has lasted for two years.

Under the agreement, 20 hostages, who had been held since October 7, 2023, were released, while Israel released 1,718 prisoners from the Gaza Strip who were returned to their homes, in addition to 250 Palestinian prisoners with life or long-term sentences who were either transferred to other Palestinian territories or deported.
