The project will include an energy storage system in batteries with a capacity of 10 megawatts/hour, aimed at enhancing the stability of the power grid and ensuring continuous energy availability. Additionally, the project supports the employment of local talents and the transfer of technical knowledge, thereby boosting comprehensive economic development. It is expected that the station will provide clean electricity to more than 300,000 homes across the country and contribute to reducing over 50,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually, according to the Emirates News Agency “WAM.”
The project aims to employ local talents and transfer technical knowledge to the country’s citizens, enhancing comprehensive development and supporting job opportunities related to the sector. The Central African Republic relies on this project to enhance stability and reduce dependence on traditional generators and fossil fuels, contributing to improving residents’ lives and providing environmentally friendly solutions.
This project comes in the wake of the signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the UAE and the Central African Republic in March 2025, which aims to deepen trade and investment relations in key sectors.
