British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is considering plans to eliminate certain visa fees for top global talent, as reported by the Financial Times. This move comes as the US adopts stricter immigration policies.
Starmer’s “global talent task force” is developing strategies to attract leading scientists, academics, and digital experts to the UK, aiming to enhance economic growth.
Neither the Treasury department nor Downing Street has responded to Reuters’ request for comments.
US President Donald Trump announced a $100,000 fee for new H-1B visas starting Sunday, as part of a broader immigration policy.
