The session titled “Discussion on the Recent Military Aggression Committed by the State of Israel Against the State of Qatar on September 9, 2025” will start at 11:00 AM Geneva time. It will be held within the framework of the ongoing 60th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council. The Gulf Cooperation Council stated that the discussion comes in response to two official requests submitted by Pakistan, on behalf of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and Kuwait on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council, last Wednesday.
The discussion on Israeli military operations will be the tenth emergency discussion held by the Human Rights Council since its establishment in 2006. The Qatari capital, Doha, hosted talks on Monday to discuss regional developments and Israeli attacks targeting several countries in the region, the latest of which was the targeting of the Qatari capital, Doha. The summit was preceded by meetings of foreign ministers and representatives of 57 Arab and Islamic countries.
