Moscow – Sputnik. The report added on Wednesday that Washington is also asking NATO countries to provide similar support. The Russian permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzya, stated that the transfer of American “Tomahawk” missiles to Ukraine will not change the situation on the battlefield, emphasizing that Russia will find a response to it.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov confirmed that the American statements about supplying Kyiv with “Tomahawk” missiles are the result of European pressure, noting that Washington wants to show that it considers the opinions of its allies.
Lavrov told reporters after the 22nd meeting of the “Valdai” International Forum regarding the statements of US Vice President JD Vance, that Washington is considering supplying Kyiv with “Tomahawk” missiles. He added that Washington wants to demonstrate that it takes its allies’ opinions into account, but he does not believe it is a decision that has already been made, as the Americans do not provide everyone with Tomahawk missiles.
