The Kremlin’s statement read: “The Russian side is represented by Yuri Ushakov, Assistant to the President, and the Presidential Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev.” The statement continued: “The American side is represented by businessman, investor, and founder of Affinity Partners, Jared Kushner.” This visit marks the sixth trip of the U.S. President’s Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, to Russia this year, and it is related to discussing the U.S. plan regarding Ukraine.

Earlier today, the Russian presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to receive the U.S. President’s Special Envoy, Steve Witkoff, at the Kremlin after 5 PM Moscow time. Peskov added that “Vladimir Putin and the U.S. Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will discuss issues raised during their meeting with the Ukrainian delegation in Florida.”

The press secretary further mentioned: “They will have the opportunity reached between Kyiv and Washington regarding finding solutions.” Peskov explained that the American side spent two weeks working intensively with Ukrainian representatives to develop the U.S. President’s plan.

Peskov described the meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and the U.S. President’s Special Envoy Steve Witkoff in Moscow as an important step towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict. U.S. President Donald Trump earlier confirmed that his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the coming days. The Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, stated that Kyiv must decide and begin negotiations, noting that Kyiv’s freedom to make decisions is diminishing due to the offensive actions of the Russian Armed Forces.
