On Tuesday, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio arrived in Qatar, a week following an Israeli strike in the Gulf nation that targeted Hamas leaders.

The Israeli assault on Hamas members, who were in Qatar for talks, was met with international criticism and prompted an urgent Arab-Islamic summit.

Post-strike, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani labeled Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu as a ‘narcissist’.

He called on the global community Sunday to “end double standards” and hold Israel accountable for its “crimes”.

He reaffirmed that Israel’s “actions” will not deter Doha’s mediation efforts with Egypt and the US to resolve the Gaza conflict.
