Vance said at a press conference during his visit to Israel: “What we are doing now is focusing on the future in Gaza as requested by President Trump, and the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip will hold.” He continued: “Israel will need to agree on the type of forces that will be on the ground in Israel as part of Trump’s plan, and Turkey can play a constructive role.” He added: “We are not imposing anything on Israel, and Hamas must disarm and behave properly. Fighters can receive amnesty, and this will take time.
The locations of the bodies of some hostages in Gaza are unknown, and reconstruction funds will not go to areas controlled by Hamas. The Gaza agreement can become a basis for normalization and sustainable peace.” He continued: “We are making efforts to ensure long-term security for Gazans. We must rebuild Gaza and ensure that Palestinians and Israelis live stably.”
He continued: “We want Iran to prosper, but it cannot obtain nuclear weapons, and we will use all diplomatic means to prevent that.” The city of Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt hosted an international summit on October 13, co-chaired by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and American President Donald Trump, with leaders from over 20 countries in attendance.
On October 13, the Palestinian Hamas movement released several bodies of detainees, affirming that it continues to work on identifying the locations of the remaining bodies to hand them over to Israel, which in return released about 2000 Palestinian detainees and prisoners from its prisons as part of President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza. The ceasefire agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Hamas movement took effect on October 10.
