Vladimir Trapeznikov passed away at the age of eighty-eight, succumbing to injuries sustained during a helicopter takeoff experiment he was personally working on in the city of Kirov, Russia. The accident occurred when the helicopter’s structure collapsed during takeoff, and one of the blades inflicted a fatal head injury. Trapeznikov had a passion for aircraft modeling since his youth and was known for his successful and distinguished projects such as “Rocinante,” “Amphibian,” and “Vyatich.”
