On Monday, the White House unveiled a peace plan aimed at resolving the conflict between Israel and Hamas, calling for the return of all hostages, both living and deceased, within 72 hours of Israel’s acceptance of the deal.
If the proposal is accepted by both parties, “the war will end immediately,” the plan states.
Israeli troops will retreat to predetermined positions to facilitate the hostage release. After all hostages are freed, Israel will release 250 Palestinians serving life sentences and 1,700 Gazans detained post-October 7, 2023, according to the plan.
