The Yemeni group organized the demonstration under the slogan ‘Steadfast with Gaza despite the Zionist aggression,’ where protesters raised banners condemning Israel’s continued perpetration of ‘genocide’ and systematic starvation of about 2.4 million Palestinians in Gaza, according to Palestinian media sources. The statement affirmed the students’ and the university’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian cause by all means, considering it an ‘Islamic, moral, and humanitarian duty.’ The statement also held the United States and Israel’s supporters ‘directly responsible for the blood of the martyrs and the suffering of those besieged in Gaza,’ emphasizing that Israeli aggression will not deter Yemenis from their supportive stance towards the Palestinian people.
The spokesperson for the ‘Ansar Allah’ group, Brigadier Yahya Saree, stated in a statement on Wednesday evening that their military forces attacked Ben Gurion Airport in Israel with a hypersonic missile named ‘Palestine 2.’ Yahya Saree stressed that ‘the Yemeni attacks are in support of the Palestinian people and their resistance, and in protest against the genocide and starvation crimes committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.’ Saree considered the operation a victory for the plight of the Palestinian people and their resistance, and a response to the Zionist genocide and starvation crimes against our brothers in the Gaza Strip.
Since the outbreak of the war in October 2023, ‘Ansar Allah’ has been carrying out missile and drone attacks on Israel and ships associated with it or with the United States and its allies in the Red Sea, stressing that these actions are in support of Gaza, and affirming that they will continue until Israel stops the war.
