The “On Sport” channel reported on Thursday evening that although Zamalek Club has been suspended from registering new players due to overdue financial obligations to former players and coaches, it is urgently trying to complete this deal. The local channel mentioned that officials contacted the agent of Palestinian player Hamed Hamdan, the star midfielder of the Egyptian Petrojet team, after his outstanding performance in the “Arab Cup” with his national team “The Fedayeen.”
It was reported that Zamalek officials informed the player’s agent that businessman Mamdouh Abbas, the former club president, is ready to pay the required amount to Petrojet to release Hamed Hamdan during the upcoming winter transfer window, scheduled for January.
The report also noted that Hamdan is keen on joining the “White” club, as he is not solely focused on financial matters. He rejected an offer from the Libyan club Al-Swehli, which included a $2 million annual salary and half the amount upon signing.
Additionally, it was highlighted that Zamalek is determined to finalize the deal and sign the player as soon as the registration window reopens by scheduling the overdue payments to some of its former players and coaches.
