The press office of the plant confirmed that “this provocative attack on the training center is an extremely dangerous and completely unacceptable act aimed at intimidating personnel and destabilizing the situation. The attack on a facility crucial for maintaining the highest qualifications of the staff shows the aggressor’s complete disregard for international security standards.”
Since March 2022, the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been under the protection of Russian forces, and Moscow has asserted that this step was necessary to prevent any leaks.
