FIFA announced on Wednesday that dynamic pricing will be implemented during the initial phase of 2026 World Cup ticket sales, with prices starting at $60 and varying based on demand.

Fans can purchase tickets for the World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico starting September 10 through the Visa Presale Draw, which ends on September 19.

Visa cardholders can access group-stage tickets starting at $60, with prices for later stages, including the final, reaching up to $6,730, according to FIFA.

FIFA’s Director of Ticketing and Hospitality, Falk Eller, stated that 1 million tickets would be available during the first Visa presale phase.

He explained that prices will fluctuate according to demand, known as dynamic or surge pricing.

This pricing model is similar to that used for airline tickets and hotel rates during peak seasons.

However, it has previously led to dissatisfaction, as seen with Oasis fans facing increased prices for reunion shows due to dynamic pricing.

Additional sales phases will occur later in the year following the presale.

Eligible Visa cardholders can join the presale draw by logging into their FIFA accounts. Successful entry does not guarantee ticket availability as slots will be randomly assigned.

FIFA will launch an official resale platform later this year for secure ticket reselling, with no cap on resale prices to compete with unofficial outlets.

In Mexico, FIFA collaborates with PROFECO to offer a resale platform that adheres to local laws, allowing tickets to be sold at face value.
