The current value of active urban development projects in Abu Dhabi has reached $758.79 billion, as highlighted by industry reports.
Among this total, urban construction leads with $221.56 billion, according to a report by BNC Network, a prominent construction project tracker. Other key sectors include oil and gas at $595.67 billion, the industrial sector with $151.36 billion, transport at $238.01 billion, and utilities accounting for $130.29 billion across various stages of planning, development, and construction.
This strengthens Abu Dhabi’s reputation in the real estate and construction sectors in the region, a sentiment echoed at the 14th edition of the International Real Estate & Investment Show (IREIS 2025), which concluded on Sunday. The event, spanning three days, was the largest property, construction, and investment exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Amer Al Ahbabi, an Emirati leader in governance, internal audit, compliance, and strategic finance, opened the event.
Abu Dhabi City’s residential supply is expanding, with around 2,400 units delivered in 2025. “The development pipeline is expected to accelerate, with approximately 10,400 units projected for completion by year-end and over 11,000 units scheduled for delivery in 2026,” states a report by Cavendish Maxwell.
Leading UAE developers such as Reportage, Danube Properties, Object 1, Dugasta Properties, Meta Homes Real Estate GGM, and Dia Properties, supported by Arsenal and Grovy Developers, showcased their latest projects to investors and buyers during the three-day event, where buyers typically purchase properties in significant numbers over the weekend.
Attendees at IREIS 2025 enjoyed discounts of up to 10-20% on-site. Reportage Properties also announced discounts ranging from 5-20% for bookings made during the event.
Arun Bose, Director of IREIS, remarked, “This year’s edition represents a landmark for Abu Dhabi’s property sector. The extensive participation and quality of discussions highlight Abu Dhabi’s allure as a capital magnet and a shaper of global real estate’s future. From smart cities to tokenized property assets, IREIS has demonstrated the convergence of innovation, regulation, and investor confidence, solidifying the UAE as a top growth destination. Investors and buyers can achieve up to 20% capital gains upon purchase, which will increase further with high-premium property delivery.”
The Abu Dhabi real estate sector excelled in the first half of 2025, with real estate transaction value surging 39% to Dh51.72 billion, up from Dh37.2 billion in the same period of 2024, per data from the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC).
This year’s IREIS edition underscored the resilience and growth of Abu Dhabi’s real estate market, showcasing increasing transaction volumes and values. The exhibition featured over 35 developers and agencies, including major players from the UAE and abroad.
The International Investment Conference, held alongside IREIS 2025, focused on the impact of the golden visa programme, which has significantly boosted the country’s wealth. With 200,000 Golden Visas issued in 2024, largely tied to minimum property investments of Dh2 million, an estimated Dh400 billion in real estate investments was generated in just one year.
