This week, Afghan nationals executed two suicide attacks in Pakistan, including one in Islamabad, as reported by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday.

The bombers involved in these incidents have been confirmed as Afghans, Naqvi announced during a parliamentary session broadcast live on television.

Kabul has yet to respond.

Naqvi’s statement came after a suicide bomber detonated near a police patrol outside a lower court in Islamabad on Tuesday, resulting in 12 deaths and 27 injuries.

Another attack occurred on Monday when a bomber drove an explosive-loaded vehicle into the main gate of a military school in South Waziristan district, close to the Afghan border, killing three people.

Militants subsequently entered the school, which is operated by the military but serves civilians, leading to a confrontation with Pakistani soldiers that lasted over 24 hours until all attackers were neutralized.

Pakistan-Afghanistan relations have been tense recently, with Islamabad accusing Afghan-based militants of launching attacks within Pakistan. Kabul refutes claims of providing safe haven to these militants.

Last month, numerous soldiers died in border conflicts between the two nations.
