The flight, numbered AI2913, was on a route from Delhi to Indore on August 31. It returned to Delhi following a fire alert in the right engine received by the cockpit crew.
The crew quickly followed standard procedures, opting to shut down the engine and return to Delhi, where the plane landed safely, according to the spokesperson.

The aircraft was grounded for inspection at the airport.
The airline stated that passengers would be moved to another aircraft, which is scheduled to operate the Indore flight soon, as confirmed by the spokesperson.
