Today, Friday, Almaz-Antey delivered counter-battery warfare equipment and Buk-M3 air defense systems to the Russian Ministry of Defense. This delivery was part of fulfilling the state defense order for 2025 ahead of schedule, as reported by the company’s press service.
The statement mentioned that Almaz-Antey transferred the Buk-M3 medium-range air defense systems to the Russian Ministry of Defense, having fulfilled part of its obligations under the 2025 state defense order ahead of time.
The Ministry stated, “Based on the decision of the Russian Defense Minister, an independent entity affiliated with the Russian Ministry of Defense is being established. This entity will conduct military scientific research in the field of developing and improving electronic warfare systems and electronic warfare forces.”
The Ministry explained that this entity was previously part of one of the higher education bodies affiliated with the Ministry of Defense. “The establishment of a new (independent) entity will enhance the scientific school’s potential in electronic warfare, ensure reliable solutions to a range of scientific, technical, and practical issues, and accelerate the implementation of developments in promising areas of electronic warfare to quickly deliver them to the forces.”
