The group explained in a televised statement delivered by its spokesperson Yahya Saree, that its missile forces carried out a special operation using a hypersonic ballistic missile called ‘Palestine 2’, targeting a sensitive site in Jaffa. They confirmed that the operation achieved its objectives accurately, forcing millions of settlers to seek refuge in shelters. The statement also noted that the drone air force conducted another operation targeting Ramon Airport, successfully achieving its objectives.
‘Ansar Allah’ called on the Arab and Islamic nations to ‘bear their religious and moral responsibilities towards the Palestinians who are facing extermination, siege, starvation, and displacement.’ The group confirmed that its armed forces will continue their operations until ‘Israeli aggression is stopped and the siege is lifted.’
‘Ansar Allah’ has intensified its attacks on Israel since they announced in late August the killing of their Prime Minister Ahmed Ghalib Al-Rahwi, several ministers, and the injury of others due to an Israeli airstrike which they claimed targeted a routine workshop held by the government to assess its activities and performance over the year.
On July 28th, ‘Ansar Allah’ announced the escalation of attacks on Israel, marking the beginning of the fourth phase of the ‘naval blockade on Israel,’ threatening to target ships belonging to any company dealing with Israeli ports regardless of their nationality, and anywhere the group’s forces can reach, in response to ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza Strip.
The group has been launching attacks on Israel and ships associated with it, as well as those linked to the United States and Britain in the Red Sea, since November 2023, in response to the Israeli war in Gaza Strip. ‘Ansar Allah’ has controlled the majority of provinces in central and northern Yemen, including the capital Sanaa, since September 2014, while an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia launched military operations on March 26, 2015, in support of the Yemeni army to reclaim those regions from the group’s grip.
