Brad Pitt, Joaquin Phoenix, and Rooney Mara have joined as executive producers for Kaouther Ben Hania’s latest film, The Voice of Hind Rajab. Their involvement enhances the film’s profile just days before its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Also contributing to the film are Dede Garner and Jeremy Kleiner from Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, The Zone of Interest director Jonathan Glazer, and Oscar-winning director Alfonso Cuarón. The project has garnered support from major global supporters like the UK’s Film4 and Saudi-owned MBC Studios, highlighting its international appeal and cultural significance.

The Voice of Hind Rajab delves into the heartbreaking story of Hind Rajab, a six-year-old whose death during the Gaza conflict attracted global attention. Although Israeli authorities denied troop presence in the area where Hind and her family were killed, investigations by The Washington Post and Sky News using satellite images revealed nearby Israeli tanks at the time. Further analysis by Forensic Architecture in collaboration with Al Jazeera identified 335 bullet holes in the family’s vehicle, raising further questions about the attack.

This film follows Ben Hania’s Oscar-nominated Four Daughters, known for its innovative blend of documentary and fiction. Her earlier work, The Man Who Sold His Skin, also received an Oscar nomination for Best International Feature Film.

Produced by Nadim Cheikhrouha under Mime Films and Tanit Films, along with Odessa Rae of RaeFilm Studios in New York and James Wilson of London’s JW Films, the film features Saja Kilani, Motaz Malhees, Clara Khoury, and Amer Hlehel.

Anticipation for The Voice of Hind Rajab is high ahead of its Venice launch. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Party Film Sales, handling its international distribution, has secured deals throughout Europe, while CAA Media Finance manages its North American distribution.
